Why are there ads on Memrise?
Having ads in place allows us to earn money to keep developing and upgrading our course content, learning tech and overall app experience for you and all other language learners using Memrise, all while keeping the experience free to use.
Our Memrise Pro plan unlocks the ad-free experience, alongside our wide range of Premium modes in the app and on the website. Learn more on how to subscribe to Memrise Pro here.
How are adverts on memrise.com selected?
All the ads that are shown on our web pages are vetted by Google and follow their strict policies to ensure all consumers have a safe and positive experience. Read more about Google Ads policies here.
However, it's possible you might bump into ads that are not of your liking while learning on Memrise.
ℹ️ Memrise has no control over which ads are presented to you, so please avoid getting in touch about this as we won't be able to help further. Instead, please read below to learn more on how to block specific ads from being displayed to you. |
The ads that are shown to you are based on the data Google has about you, and although we have blocked certain topics from appearing on our website, we won't be able to make the ads stricter for you.
